is different. The children in my classroom make me laugh,they give hugs and they always want to do their best job they can do. When you work in a place with children you have you good day and your bad days but everyday is about the children.

I started my career in Early Childhood Education as a volunteer at my sons Head Start program. He was the one person that thought I should be a teacher. Now I work as a teacher and nothing can get in my way.






In week two of my class we listened to Early Childhood Educators talk about their passion and motivation. I think the two people who I relate to are:

1) Renatta Cooper because she said " Its not all about you.You have to take your ego out and do whats best for the child."  Many times teachers and parent do what they think is best for the child, but  we should make sure that what we chose is in the child best interest.

2) Sandy Escobido  who said "We as professionals in the Early Childhood Field have an opportunity to shape a child's life for the better."My hope as a teacher in the Early Childhood field is that I make a difference

 One of my favorite quotes by Lyndon Johnson who is from the Head Start sector :

"We can draw from the past, but we cannot live in it."

 I feel that this quote is talking to me when I am working in my classroom.                            

I have to do my best to learn about all my new children. What I do to get  to know one child may not work with another child.  How I ran my classroom last year may not work this year. I have to learn from my past and build on what I have learn to make to make my live better.

There is a quote by Hillary Clinton  who is from the Heath and Well Being sector that I live by.

"You have just one life to live. It is yours. Own it, claim it, do the best you can with it."-to Marie Claire in 2012

I think about this quote more today because I was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday, with chest pains. I did not have a heart attach but I found that I have a mass on my chest. I think about the things that I have not gotten a chance to do with my children. I do not know what is next for me. I do know that I am not giving up because I love my super hero's.

Sister day 

It always easy to talk about my childhood because it's was all about my family.

  My father worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed as children but he was never around. So my Microsystem was small just mom, dad , my sister, and brother. How ever my Exosytem was very large because my mother had 6 sisters.

   My mother Katie (third from left)  has always supported me as a child. She showed me love and she would tell me be the best. She made me feel important because she asked me to help my sister (Pam) and brother (Joe). She had a problems with her eyes but you could never tell because she took me and my brother and sister every where. She was very close to her 6 six sisters and they where my support web. 1st on the left aunt Joyce she is the cook. She would ask  me what my favorite dish was (shrimp noodles) and she would  showed my how to steam the shrimp and boil the noodles. We had that dish at every family get together. 2nd on the left is aunt Bea she was the brains. My mother would call her to help me with my home work. She would tell me that if I take my time with my home work and get all the answers right I could come over her house for the weekend. Her house was the only house that me and my sister could stay over. 4th form the left on the back row is aunt Elaine she would take me to the park where we played on the swings, she would push me so high. Going to the park with her made me feel special. Top right is aunt Brenda and bottom right is aunt Penny they are the jokers the would have you laughing at a funeral they always had same thing funny to say. Bottom left is aunt Delores she is the keeper of arms she set the rules that her sisters had to follow and she keep the the children in check. She made me feel that I was safe around her. My mom and aunts have influence me in many was but I feel the one thing that means the world to me is that they put the time in to make me feel like I was number one. My mom and her sisters still try  to do sister day as often as the can.

I really do not remember any childhood friends or taechers that made me feel speical. I quest my sister and brother where my only friends.

Week 2

My name is Josephine Crockett. I am married with five children aging from 32-9, and I have been a foster parent for 11 years.I have been working for Catholic Charities Head Start for the past five years, but I started as a parent volunteer. People ask me all the time "How do you work all day with 3-5 year old children and then go home to more children?" I say I love what I do and my happiness comes from the children that I work with. I am hopping that the Masters program in Early Childhood Education at Walden University will help to be a better teacher.

In order to be the best teacher I can be I have to continue my education. My mother told me at a very young age to always do your best, be open to learn new things and have fun. So it is fitting to say that my favorite quote is by Benjamin Franklin " We do not stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing!"I play with my Children everyday and I love to read to them.

I think my favorite book is The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. I love the book because I can do some many different activities with the it. I have used the book for math activities, to introduce different fruits, and also to talk about the life cycle of insects. I like to have the children to draw a picture of the caterpillar.


 I asked my 10 year old son to draw me a picture.He told me that he can draw his favorite Pokemon Pickachu. I love Pickachu because I feel like he could be my alter ego. He is smart, always learning new thing, willing help a person in need,and always ready for battle. That's me Pickachu.

So today I found out that my computer was out dated and would not support windows 10.
Now I have to buy a new computer. Best Buys here I come

Day two

So today I posted to my group.But I for got to put in my 6 word title. This class is stressing me and I just started. Glade I started in the summer.
